Tuition and Fees
The tuition
schedule for 2007-08 is not posted on the website to encourage
perspective parents to call the school for a school tour and
visit. We would like to show you what St. Mary of Gostyn has
to offer your family before we give the tuition schedule.
Families
are urged to take advantage of automatic withdrawal to pay
tuition. A 9 or 12-month payment plan is available. Withdrawals
can be made on a monthly or semimonthly basis.
All other
families stay on the 9-month plan to pay tuition. A statement
is issued on the first of each month beginning in August,
for nine consecutive months or until the account is paid in
full. The August's statement is mailed home with other forms
and information. The remaining statements are sent home through
the oldest child. Payment is due by the 15th of each month.

applied to one child's book fee for the coming school year.
Mandatory

children) are given to each family early in the school year.
Confirmation and Communion fees of $50.00 are assigned to
students receiving these sacraments. There is additional per-family
fee of $25.00 for H.S.A. ($5.00 pre-school only families)
and of $45.00 for lunchtime monitoring. Supply fee for each

Definition
of a Parishioner
In order to qualify for the subsidized parishioner family
tuition rate, a family must satisfy the following:
1. Be a registered member of St. Mary of Gostyn Parish
2. Practice the Catholic faith and participate in parish activities
3. Regularly contribute financially to the parish
The above
definition of a Parishioner is not used to deny access to
a Catholic education. Rather, it is used to determine which
families qualify for the subsidized family tuition rate. Families
who can not meet the minimum financial contributions due to
financial hardship are required to contact the Pastor or Principa
for an exemption. rate.
Policy
regarding Delinquent Tuition
We expect all families who send their children to St. Mary
of Gostyn School to pay tuition and fees promptly. At the
same time, we recognize that a family can experience temporary
financial difficulty due to the loss of employment, illness,
or other factors beyond the family's control. In such cases,
it is the responsibility of the family to contact the Principal
or Parish Business Manager to work out arrangements. Families
who are 30 days late in their tuition and fees and have not
contacted the Principal or Business Manager will receive a
written notice. Accounts remaining in arrears for over 60
days will be directly contacted to insure prompt attention
to their account.
Failure
to bring tuition up to date will have the following consequences:
report cards, transcripts, and diplomas (Kindergarten and
grade 8) will be withheld. For graduating and transferring
students, records will not be sent.
Failure
to pay tuition and fees in full by the last day of school
will have the following consequences: pre-registration revoked,
re-admission denied until the outstanding balance is paid
in full. Readmission may be subject to the establishment of
an automatic withdrawal plan for tuition. The above policies
are not intended to deprive anyone of a Catholic education,
but to be fair and just to all.
Tuition
Refund Policy
In
the event that a family leaves St. Mary of Gostyn School before
the end of the school year and has pre-paid tuition beyond
the month that they are leaving, a tuition refund is given
for the months the student/s will not attend school. In the
event the tuition is not paid beyond the month, the family
owes tuition for the months the student/s attended school.
There is no refund of fees paid.
Tuition
Billing
Tuition bills are sent home through the oldest child during
the school year. In the case of divorce, the custodial parent
will receive account statements and is responsible for tuition
and fees unless directly differently. The custodial parent
is responsible for communication with the non-custodial parent
regarding these matters.
