The Debt Reduction Fund will be applied to our Church Renovation Loan. This loan was originally $1,468,000. As of August 30, 2012, $150,000 is outstanding on the and requires a monthly payment of approximately $11,500. SMG purchased the property at 445 Gierz on August 31, 2012. Th loan for this property was for $200,000.

The School Endowment Fund was established over 15 years ago by school families to secure the future of the school. Contributions to this fund will ensure that the school continues to receive an annual distribution. Currently, funds are distributed and are used towards operating expenses, which helps keep tuition affordable.

The School Technology Fund ensures funding for technology needs. St. Mary School takes great measures to ensure the level of technology exceeds needs in order to prepare students for high school and beyond. Currently the school has SmartBoards in 14 out of 20 classrooms. In Fall, 2011, 8th graders received their own laptops for the 1:1 Technology Initiative. Building upon these initiatives is key. The School Tuition Assistance Fund provides school families with assistance to pay St. Mary School Tuition when there is a financial need. St. Mary has adopted specific policies and procedures from the Diocese to verify needs and distribution of funds. To qualify for this program, applications for FACTS must be submitted to the Diocese of Joliet & FACTS. Based on the financial need, a percentage of tuition costs may be allocated to the family. The Family Crisis Fund provides assistance to our parishioners who are in financial need. Once a need is verified, the distributions can be used to help parishioners pay utility bills, mortgage, rent, and car payments. In addition, these families are welcome to participate in the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry program at SMG.

The St. Vincent de Paul Fund provides funding to our Food Pantry which serves parishioners and community neighbors in need for grocery assistance. In the first 6 months of 2011, the Food Pantry allocated over $50,000 to help families in need.
The PADS Fund will help defray costs incurred by St. Mary of Gostyn to support this ministry which provides 2 meals (Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast), shelter in the Gathering Place for one night, showers, laundry service and train tickets to over 70 guests every Friday night for 11 months out of the year.
