In order to qualify for the subsidized parishioner family tuition rate, a family must satisfy the following:
1. Be a registered member of St. Mary of Gostyn Parish
2. Practice the Catholic faith and participate in the parish activities
3. Regularly contribute financially to the parish
The above definition of a parishioner is not used to deny a Catholic education. Rather, it is used to determine which families qualify for the subsidized family tuition rate. Families who can not meet the minimum financial contributions due to financial hardship are required to contact the Pastor or Principal for an exemption.
Parishioner status is determined at the time of registration by the Principal and Pastor. Parishioner status will be reviewed at the end of the school year to determine the following school year rate. Families who do not meet the definition will have their tuition altered to non-parishioner, per child rate.
Payment Schedules
Tuition payments are handled by SMART Tuition Management Program. Schedules are set at the time of registration according to the following options:
Option 1 Make one annual payment which is due when school begins.
Option 2 Sign up for SMART Tuition and select the automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. ACH withdrawals are once a month on either the 5th or the 20th.
Option 3 Signup for SMART Tuition and select the automatic charge to your credit card. Credit card charges are once a month on either the 5th or the 20th. There is a 2½% fee assessed to the family for each credit card transaction.

In the case of a divorce, the custodial parent is responsible for tuition and fees unless the school is directed differently. The custodial parent is responsible for communication with the non-custodial parent regarding these matters.
School Fees
In the spring of each year, each school family pays a nonrefundable registration fee to assure the family's registration with St. Mary of Gostyn school for the next academic year. The fee is applied to one child's book fee for the following school year at the time of registration in the fall. All fees are to be paid before school starts.

Delinquent Tuition Policy
We expect all families who send their children to St. Mary of Gostyn School to pay their tuition and fees promptly. At the same time, we recognize that a family can experience temporary financial difficulty due to the loss of employment, illness, or other factors beyond the family's control. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the family to contact the Principal or the Parish Business Manager to work out arrangements. Families with accounts in arrears for over 60 days will be contacted to ensure prompt attention to their account.
Failure to bring tuition up to date will have the following additional consequences:
- Student report cards, transcripts, and kindergarten and eight grade diplomas can be withheld.
- For graduating and transferring students, records will not be sent.
Failure to pay tuition and fees in full by the last day of school will have the following consequences:
- Pre-registration will be revoked.
- Families will be denied re-admission until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
The above policies are not intended to deprive anyone of a Catholic education, but to be fair and just.
Tuition Refund Policy
In the event that a family leaves St. Mary of Gostyn School before the end of the school year and has pre-paid tuition beyond the month that they are leaving, a tuition refund is given for the months the student/s will not attend school. In the event the tuition is not paid beyond the month, the family owes tuition for the months the student/s attended school. There is no refund of fees paid.
